What’s the difference between the WildStyles?

The main differences between WildStyles come down to two factors:

Windows – Whether or not your WildTop includes windows, and how many.

Roll Up Panel Access
• 3-Sided Roll Up Panel Access means the two sides and the rear tailgate side are accessible.
• 4-Sided Roll Up Panel Access means the front panel against the cabin window also rolls up, in addition to the other three sides.

Is the WildTop Original interchangeable with WildTop BEAST?

No. The BEAST features a completely re-engineered frame and rack system, built from the ground up to handle increased load ratings and deliver next-level performance. As a result, it’s not compatible with previous WildTop setups — the mounting pattern and structure are entirely new and purpose-built.

How do I correctly close my tailgate with the WildTop Installed?

We’d like to share the correct method for opening your tailgate and ensuring the long-lasting durability and waterproof performance of your cover.

1) Unzip the canvas and lift it up out of the way before opening the tailgate. You can either roll it up and secure it using the provided straps or unzip it enough so it won’t get caught in the tailgate.
2) Carefully close the tailgate, ensuring the canvas is not obstructing the closure.
3) Rezip the canvas after closing the tailgate to create a tight, waterproof seal.
4) Ensure cover drapes down past the top edge of the tailgate.

By following these simple steps, you’ll ensure no damage comes to your WildTop and that your cargo remains protected from the elements.

Can I drive in Safari Mode (with the sides rolled up)?

Yes! In 2024 we upgraded the magnets used in the straps that hold up the sides of the cap to allow users to drive with the sides rolled up. Just make sure you unzip the zippers all the way that they can go and then tightly roll up the canvas. If for some reason the it falls down during driving, this would be due to the magnet straps not being attached correctly. Make sure the magnets are touching and are connected! Watch this video below!

Is there any extra conditioning required for the WildTop canvas?

No, unlike other soft toppers, no other additional purchases or products are required to condition the WildTop beyond the standard conditioning explained in your installation guide and listed here. To maintain the WildTop's physical performance and aesthetic luster, and in particular, the waterproof performance of the canvas follow this proper conditioning method.

Start by fitting the cap to your truck. Then thoroughly wet the canvas with a garden hose, making sure to cover both the inside and the outside. Allow the cap to fully dry, preferably in the sun. Repeat 2 or 3 more times. This allows the fabric to settle after transport and packaging. That’s it!

Additional Tips:
The following key points will help maximise the durability and life of your canvas:
• To remove dirt, brush the fabric with a soft bristle brush. An occasional hosing may remove dust and some ingrained dirt.
• Never scrub the canvas fabric.
• Do not expose to petrol or oil.
• Immediately remove deposits of organic matter (such as soil, grass, bird droppings).
• Remove any mildew, as it appears, first by brushing, then by treating with diluted chlorine bleach (typically 1 part household grade bleach to 4 parts water to achieve 1% available chlorine). Allow to dry in the sun, then hose well to remove any residue.
• Do not use strong bleach such as ‘pool chlorine’.
• Do not use soaps, detergents, solvents, or other liquid cleaners.

By following these instructions, you can extend the life of your soft truck cap, maintain its aesthetic appeal, and enhance its functional performance.

Can East-West and North-South Ladder Racks be used at the same time?

No, East-West and North-South Rails cannot be used in conjunction with one another. Only one set can be used at a time.
No, East-West and North-South Rails cannot be used in conjunction with one another. Only one set can be used at a time.

The distance between the front and rear racks is too large for me to carry what I need. What can I do?

No problem! That’s exactly why we developed our North–South Ladder Racks. These are an optional upgrade you can purchase for the WildTop. They run lengthwise from front to back, replacing the standard East–West setup. This significantly shortens the distance between racks and makes it much easier to carry larger or oversized items. As another option, the WildTop BEAST comes standard with a 360-Degree ladder rack for four sides of flexible cargo mounting capabilities.
