Why is the WildTop the shape that it is?

The design of the WildTop is intentionally crafted for strength, durability, and aerodynamics. The proprietary angles of the structure have been rigorously tested to deliver maximum load-bearing capability without compromising durability. This shape minimizes wind drag, contributing to a more stable and efficient driving experience. The result is a streamlined, purpose-driven design that prioritizes durability and functionality without unnecessary complexity.

Are the window panels tinted?

On the Nomad and Beast, the window panels are slightly tinted to provide shade and privacy while still allowing visibility. On the Scout, the entire rear panel is an XL clear marine-grade PVC window, giving you 70% more viewable area for a panoramic view.

Is the WildTop Nomad interchangeable with the WildTop BEAST?

No. The Beast features a completely re-engineered T-Slot frame and 360-degree rack system built from the ground up to handle a 1,500 lb static load rating. It is not compatible with the Nomad or Scout setups—the mounting pattern and structure are entirely new and purpose-built.

How do I correctly close my tailgate with the WildTop Installed?

1) Unzip the back panel and lift it up out of the way before opening the tailgate. You can either roll it up and secure it using the provided magnetic straps or unzip it enough so it won't get caught.
2) Carefully close the tailgate, ensuring the material is not obstructing the closure.
3) Rezip the panel after closing the tailgate to create a tight weather seal.
4) Ensure the cover drapes down past the top edge of the tailgate.

Can I drive in Safari Mode (with the sides rolled up)?

Yes! We use high-strength magnets in the straps that hold up the sides of the cap, allowing users to drive with the sides rolled up. Just make sure you unzip the zippers all the way and tightly roll up the canvas/PVC. Ensure the magnets are touching and fully connected.

Is there any extra conditioning required for the WildTop?

For Nomad & Beast (Canvas): No other additional purchases or products are required to condition the canvas. To maintain the waterproof performance, start by fitting the cap to your truck. Thoroughly wet the canvas with a garden hose (inside and out). Allow the cap to fully dry in the sun. Repeat 2 or 3 times to allow the fabric to settle.

For Scout (PVC): No conditioning is needed. The PVC is inherently stain-resistant—mud and road grime won't soak in. A quick hose-down is all it takes to clean it.

Additional Tips:
• Never scrub the canvas fabric.
• Do not expose to petrol or oil.
• Immediately remove deposits of organic matter (such as soil, grass, bird droppings).
• Remove any mildew by brushing, then treating with diluted chlorine bleach (1 part household grade bleach to 4 parts water). Allow to dry in the sun, then hose well.
• Do not use strong bleach such as 'pool chlorine'.
• Do not use soaps, detergents, solvents, or other liquid cleaners.

Can East-West and North-South Ladder Racks be used at the same time?

It depends on your edition. On the Scout and Nomad, East-West and North-South Rails cannot be used in conjunction with one another; only one set can be used at a time (East-West is standard, North-South is an optional conversion). However, the Beast comes standard with a revolutionary 360-Degree rack system that combines both North-South and East-West configurations into one seamless frame simultaneously.

The distance between the front and rear racks is too large for me to carry what I need. What can I do?

No problem! That's exactly why we developed our North–South Ladder Rack conversion for the Nomad. These run lengthwise from front to back, replacing the standard East–West setup, making it much easier to carry larger items. Alternatively, the WildTop Beast comes standard with a 360-Degree ladder rack that gives you total mounting freedom in every direction.
